It was the right thing to do. They gave her the usual excuse and told her to try again in six months. Nothing was going to change. If she wanted to do field work, she had to make a change.
It was the right decision. It doesn't take too many rejections for Tess to realize she is in a dead-end job. They were not taking her seriously, so her only option was to make something happen for herself.
Definitely the right thing to do. It was a crappy rejection and the way he handled it told Tess a lot about her value in his eyes. Boy did she deliver them a major blow by walking away because we learn later that this woman has serious skills. I thought she should go for it as there was nothing much to lose.
Absolutely the right thing. They had no incentive or intention of making her a field agent as she was too valuable as support. Her actions reinforced her daring from the night club incident.
