SOLVED: The Decoy Princess and Princess at Sea by Dawn Cook

Very much a long shot but I am hoping to figure out the name of a book which is in a series of 2. Although more would have been possibly published by now.

I had read this book out last in roughly 2015. The MC is a vague sort of princess, her parents are high up in a kingdom posisbly the king and queen, they are killed and betrayed and her families kingdom being overthrown. She escapes with someone who seems very dogdey. The cover was creamy ligh colour.

In the second book she discovers some of her powers after a mood swing in the ocean, her powers was like she had and influence on the weather and when she got overwhelmed she created a very intense storm which stopped once she calmed down. The second book was light blue cover.

The series is not Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, It was more fantasy with a very medieval European vibe.
