Children/ YA book series about a Nerdy Kid. Specifically the book where he is at a Mall during Winter Time, possibly Christmas Time. Read around 2005-2006.

Read the book around 2005-2006 when I was in late elementary school for a book reading challenge. The reading audience was definitely for older children to teenagers.

I don't remember much of the story but I do remember the main character was a nerdy kid and it took place at a mall around winter time. Possibly around Christmas.

I do remember the book cover. The cover had the main character, nerdy kid, looked like he was running away inside a mall and he was being chased by a snowmobile. The perspective of the book cover is from the front of the snowmobile as its about to hit the running away nerdy kid. Also, I think the nerdy kid was dressed in a Santa costume but it could've just been winter clothes that was red.

The only other detail I have is that it was possibly part of a very big book series that followed the nerdy kid just growing up and dealing with school and life stuff.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.
