Fiction - A journalist unknowingly moves to supernatural town and discovers she is a witch. She also falls in love with a detective who was turned into a vampire by an illegal blood ring (i think i read it around 2019-2020)

A journalist from a big newspaper company takes a train to a supernatural town and lives in a house where she discovers the owners are vampires. I remember there being a vampire called Jared who she falls in love with due to his magic stuff.
There is a detective who has been turned into what he calls either a day walking vampire or a night walking vampire i can’t remember. The woman and detective fall in love and towards the end of the book (possibly series??) he becomes human again. Throughout the book weird things happen - i distinctly remember a man being poisoned or having an allergic reaction in a cafe. The train is mentioned a lot as a means of travel and the woman discovers she is a witch and finds out about her mother throughout the book.
