Novels/series that have a war between angels and demons as the premise or as a major theme

I am familiar w Peretti. As a kid, I enjoyed some of his material, but, today, I don’t think I’d be able to get past the preachiness coming from his evangelical worldview. But who knows!

I had heard of Gaiman and Pratchett before, but not their Good Omens. It sounds very unique.
I recently read the first book in Pullman’s HDM, and I loved it. As there were no angels or demons in it (although, plenty of DÆMONS), though, I can only imagine the surprises awaiting in books two and three. Can’t wait!

I had definitely not heard of Sundered (or even Michelle) before. I will have to check those out at some point.

Daughter of Smoke & Bone and the rest of the trilogy. So, so good. It's YA but don't hold that against it. Really well written and original.
