Kane used to be the guy who would go into dangerous situations without a thought to his own safety. He didn't want to be killed, but the mission was his top priority.I think he has now decided that he has someone (Siobhan) to live for and wants to keep himself out of harm's way as much as possible. I'm sure he will still be working some missions, but I think he is more likely to stay on this side of the border with Siobhan.
I agree that Kane used to go into situations regardless of how dangerous it was. Now he wants what Sean has--a loving, more peaceful life. Kane always planned for worst-case scenarios, but now I think he will take his planning to the next level and have more backup. Also, I don't believe he will work non-stop like before Siobhan. He will take more downtime.
I honestly didn’t know and love what you two are suggesting. He was so different by the time we got to the end. He’s obviously a different man.
Kane always expected to die on some mission. That is why he kept his distance from Siobhan for so long. Love has given him another reason for living and his being severely injured last year made him reassess his life. He now wants a life without so much danger and he wants to come home to Siobhan at the end of any mission he takes.
Me, too. I think he also knows he's no longer in his twenties or thirties, and fifty is just around the corner. He can't do that stuff for much longer, no matter how he keeps in shape.
