I loved that we "saw" what actually happened and weren't just told about it. It drew me into the story right away. I don't think a simple explanation of what happened previously would have worked as well.
I agree with Robin. I loved the way we were shown the backstory. Getting this first-hand look at the events built the suspense and prepared me to suspect revenge.
Me, too! It was a much different takeaway experiencing what happened versus just absorbing the information. I came away knowing just how dangerous and fearsome Juarez was.
