Lucas Adriaenssens (lucasadriaenssens) | 9 comments Hello, Het Ancien Régime en de Revolutie (ISBN-13: 9789024420919) is missing the number of pages. The book has 384 pages in total. Could that be added to the book page?
Thank you.

Kind regards.

Gearóid Ó Cinnseamháin | 574 comments Done. According to WorldCat (which is the preferred source for Goodreads) that edition has 383 pages, which is what I added.

Where World Cat differs from GR is that they often don't count the last page if it is unnumbered. Lucas, does your copy definitely have 384 pages?

Gearóid Ó Cinnseamháin | 574 comments Amazon also list this edition as 383 pages (identical to WorldCat), but apologies if both of those sources are incorrect (in which case so am I).

Amazon isn't that great for dead tree books. The best source is a member with a copy in hand, but if possible we double check with World Cat. :)

Gearóid Ó Cinnseamháin | 574 comments I knew that WorldCat outranked Amazon as a preferred source (in this case they match for page number), but didn’t realise that GR member claim outranked WorldCat. Thanks interesting (but perhaps difficult to clarify). Thanks. I’ll bear that in mind in future.

No worries!

Lucas Adriaenssens (lucasadriaenssens) | 9 comments The last page is indeed unnumbered but also blank. Multiple bookseller sites I checked also list 384 pages. I do not know exactly if that counts or not.

Gearóid Ó Cinnseamháin | 574 comments Thanks Lucas. I strongly suspect that an unnumbered blank page at the end of the book does not count, and that therefore the WorldCat declaration of 383 pages (the last page with a page number and any text) is correct. As mentioned earlier, WorldCat is the preferred source for page numbering in Goodreads, outranking all other sources, unless there is compelling evidence to the contrary in the book itself. I will bow to Carol's greater experience if she thinks differently, however.

*Bows* No if it is blank at the end of the book we don't count it.
