It's not a dumb question at all, and I like the idea of a glossary!

WPF = Who's PBT's Favorite?

Here's the original description of the activity.

We set up two annual challenges each year, and WPF is one of them. Unfortunately, they often devolve to acronyms since no one likes retyping the title over and over.

Thanks for reminding us that new people do show up on the scene. A glossary is a great suggestion.

I thought we could only earn the additional participation points through round 4 (8 authors competing) ...i.e. the one we are in now.

Anita Pomerantz | 9280 comments Sorry I just cut and paste and filled in dates. Will double check tomorrow and edit as needed.

I hope that is not true. I was counting on being able to read through Sept. or Oct. I am a slow reader and need the extra time.

This is accurate. Per the instructions:

Read and review books during a given round prior to the final 4 (i.e. 64, 32, 16, 8) by an author still in the running and earn points as follows:

2 pts for reading one author in a bracket of your choice
4 pts for reading a second author in a different bracket
6 pts for reading a third author in a third bracket
8 pts for reading a fourth author in the final bracket

Unfortunately, for participation points, Book Concierge is correct. For votes, reading may continue.

Karin | 9210 comments Thanks!

The 8 round is the last for participation points, but we can still get 20 points if we've read the winning author at any time during the challenge, correct? Do we make a post after that's announced or will that be determined another way?

Yes on the 20 points. I will probably make a special thread for you to indicate that you earned the 20 points. It will require that you read the favorite author and post a link to the review . . .something simple to do.

Yes, and since it's from any time in the challenge before the final vote, so if we get to the last two authors and there is one or two we haven't already read, we have to get hopping, correct?
