Sebastian | 2 comments read it in about 2019 is not that old of a book. It is about a russian schoolteacher or something lots of years in the future that gets recruited by a group trying to go back in time and get seeds because the Earth is dying. Unless they get seeds to start planting again everyone will starve and they are trying to break into government storage houses in the past. They use time travel to go back in time, break into the storage house, take a bin of seeds and bury it in the ground, then come back to it in the future, dig it up and save Earth. The group was like 5 or 6 people some died. good book overall just cant remember the name

But that's good - if you add, "Future setting, dying Earth, back in time to gather seeds. 2019ish", someone is much, much more likely to read it. :)

The Seeds of Time, maybe?
"To counteract this problem, the powers of Earth have decided that new greenery must be found on alternate worlds, to supplement Earth's dying stock with heartier, alien strains. But since faster-than-light travel is still unavailable, a new method must be found to achieve this. Enter time travel, in which a quick jaunt down through time can bring ships into the position of planets which had rotated through Earth's present position in the distant past, due to the galaxy's extended period of rotation." 1997.

But that's good - if you add, "Future setting, dyin..." thanks for the tip about the title, but i dont think it was anything as outlandish as that or included anything about outer space. It was not dystopian really, just a depressing earth with everyone holding out hope. I remember that when they went back in time, they would temporarily inhabit someone elses body from the past, and could control it and do stuff until they were pulled back and the person had no idea. i remember one guy accidentally turned into a dog instead of a person random ik but it was interesting how they inhabited other peoples bodies instead of their own when in the past
