I only noticed because I copied and pasted the thread info tonight and wondered who would see the thread first this time 😆

Once I got the hang of it, I loved the Restaurant last time. I will never look at fish and chips with vinegar the same way again!
Never too early for whiskey. But, a Bloody Mary also covers breakfast- tomato, olives, celery, horseradish- everything a growing girl needs.
Having just been in Fiji, I’m only making passionfruit mohitos today.
But it does contain fruit so surely it is healthy?

Karen ⊰✿ wrote: "Sorry Angie, it does have mint but I could leave it out for you 🤩😆"Well, here's an idea for your next book, Karen.
The Science of Cocktails in dealing with HR issues or Which Cocktails work best in an HR Crisis .. or something along that line. 😉
Passion Fruit mojitos sounds intriguing... I had a ginger mojito once at the portuguese Jamie's Italian - non alcoholic, which is a bonus for 10 AM. I'll have one, please :D
Btw, it seems only fair warning to say that Team Trouble is all geared up and ready to go. So. if you want to lay down special conditions to us, now is the time!
Karen ⊰✿ wrote: "Haha I like it MelindaAlthough it may be a short book… hr issue? just drink a lot of wine… 😂😂"
Oh, I am sure you can elaborate. There are at least fifty shades of HR & drinking. ;)

Are you going to play Karen or being the Maitre d?"
I am the maître d' for this one! I don’t read quite enough anymore for this kind of challenge and it is just as fun to put it together and randomise the customers etc. 👍

Oh man!! I’ve been waiting for this challenge to show up ever since I heard Karen and Jenny talk about it! I’m debating joining because unfortunately this starts when school starts. I’m an English major so I will still be reading but I don’t know since I absolutely flopped at UNO last time I did reading and school. Let me know what you guys think!
Ilsen, do it!!!! Find team members that are willing to do the spreadsheet portion, so all you have to do is list ingredients that you run across by page number.
I ended up using tiny post-it notes to mark pages with food, so when I was done with the book I could easily make a list.
I am already noticing food in the books I am reading. It kind of becomes a thing.
I should know better than to think I can go a whole month without some sort of challenge :-PSo excited to see this one make a comeback! And I still notice when books use food words from last time, so I don’t even have to retrain my brain on it.
Now to find teamies…

If you decide to go ahead then when you’re ready just head over to this thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
To do a post to say you are looking for a team 👍

As fun as this challenge looks, I think I need a break from team challenges for a bit. Especially as I'm going to be moving soon and will either be busy with renovating or work (if I find a job quickly). I hope you all have fun. I'll cheer in the background and hopefully see you all in the team challenge after this.
This one looks so much fun , but totally confusing at the same time 🤯🤯Im hoping to have a team ( or half a team ) but none of us have played before so will.probably spend more time on the Q & A😄 .
For anyone who is worried because it looks complicated: don't be. Once you have the spreadsheet in front of you and get started, you'll have the hang of it in no time at all. And it is much, much fun! :D
I'm READY.I've got the camp song singing in my head...
"Fish and chips and vinegar, vinegar, vinegar
fish and chips and vinegar,
pepper pepper pepper salt."
Anyone else know this one?
Maybe it's just a weird American thing....but do Google it so you can sing along! LOL. It's called fish and chips and vinegar camp song...
It's a great round with bottles of pop and jellybeans and all...
It would be hilarious for us all to sing a round or two...

I know it! Years of summer camp will leave crazy things on your head.
Can’t say this is a song I’ve thought of in, oh, decades, lol.

I know it - I just looked at the regulations and somehow that part of my brain just started singing!!
Glad I'm not alone in singing this song :)

I had to learn how to play this on the recorder in grade 5!

Okay so I weirdly know this tune, but I think I knew it with different lyrics?

That is amazing.
I can just see us all singing this and you playing the recorder!!
:) :) :)
I'm so excited for this! I've never done a challenge like this before and the spreadsheet action looks like so much fun :D
Janeylou wrote: "I looked at SS and thought OMG what have i let myself in for 😄😄😄😄"You'll be fine.. we all think that at the beginning.
I promise you'll never read vinegar in the same way again.. 🤣
Lisa - (Aussie Girl) wrote: "I promise you'll never read vinegar in the same way again..."
Yep. All my vinegar innocence went away.

LOL
Funnily enough when I went back to the templates this year I had the same thought and I created them. haha! I had to remind myself how it all worked again.
I get so many ideas for this challenge that I want to do, but then I need to find a way for it to work in the spreadsheet which can dampen those ideas. haha

Can i ask , is vinegar not popular /common outside of England as i have found a few books , so wondering if its more an english thing 🤔🤔I have to go past a vinegar factory when travelling to my sisters ..love the smell, i do a lot of my cleaning with vinegar as well

I (in Germany) use vinegar mainly for salad dressings. Only rarely do I prepare other dishes with it, such as lentil soup or green asparagus with strawberries and balsamic vinegar.
For cleaning, I only sometimes use vinegar essence to remove chalk stains.
I clean almost exclusively with vinegar, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide Janeylou - vinegar is great for soap stains in the shower and I love the smell too :). But it's the vinegar I buy at the DIY center, not malt vinegar 🤣!
I clean with distilled white vinegar ,which i get from food section at supermarket and use it on my chips as well ( or should i say fries 😂😂😂)

Come hang out at the NBRC Bar to chat with players from other teams!
