Book removed from Amazon?

I read Entailed To Heirs Female: A Sweet Pride and Prejudice Variation on KU a little while ago. I was trying to remember something from it, and I went to borrow it again, and it is no longer available on kindle, for KU or to buy. Does anyone know why this happens? Or perhaps why in this particular case it happened?

I don’t know about that book particularly, but if an author has self-published and then gets an interested publisher, they remove the self-pub book from the market for a while before the new edition is released so they don’t cannibalize the publisher’s sales. Also, with self-published books an author might remove a first edition if they are revising the book for rerelease, to avoid having people unintentionally buy the old edition. Finally, there could be a tax issue that forces an author to pull a book, but that’s relatively rare.

I follow a number of author mailing lists and some have said they removed their books from Amazon because they had a bad experience with the process and wanted to set up with some other retailer, or possibly their own online store. But perhaps not in this case if her other books are still sold on Amazon.

I saw another JAFF book vanished recently and I'm pretty sure that was because the author wanted to publish a no-sex version under another pen name.

I don’t know if you can borrow from another amazon country !

I maintain my KU account in the US, even when traveling abroad.

Maybe the author did a revision or downloaded a new file. I noticed it was gone then it was back. Whatever happened, it is back now. Thanks, guys.
