Guess I'd say that you can read them in any order & still enjoy them. I cannot pick a favorite out of them all, except to say that I always prefer the novels over the novellas; more room for character development. Great series!

If I may respectfully offer a different perspective from Karen, I would say that I prefer the novella collections to the novels, which often seem padded to me. It doesn't really matter what order you read them in, but in terms of the novella collections my own favorites are The Black Carousel and The Orchard. Either would be a great place to start with Oxrun Station.
