Letters from a Stoic
question
The preface made me not want to continue reading.

I'm curious to other thoughts on this topic. Obviously the book is a well loved classic which makes me feel like I should get through it.
I was very interested to read this. then I made the mistake of reading the intro by Donald Robertson. He basically breaks it down to Seneca was basically an ass and didn’t actually portray the things he wrote or experienced. This crushed my desire to read the book and I put it away for another time and went to the next book in my queue.
Is this an accurate viewpoint? any thoughts to share?

Thanks for sharing! “Just a man having honest dialogue with himself” really resonated.
