QuinnReads | 3 comments I haven't actually read this book. It was an excerpt in the back of another book (possibly a collection) that I read more than five years ago. That book was likely already a few years old when I read it. The excerpt contained a couple of chapters.

I remember that the woman was in the woods (I can't remember if she was running from something/someone or just got lost) in the winter with snow everywhere. She passed out in the snow, thinking she was going to die there, and woke up in a dark cabin, stripped of all her clothing. There was a man who tended to her and kept her warm with his body heat. At some point, she got frisky and they had sex. He was behind her and she had no idea who he was. She only knew he was big.

And that's about all I have. For years, this book has been in the back of my mind and I want to read it. It could be erotic romance, erotica, paranormal, or something else. I truly don't know. It is possible that it was an Ellora's Cave or Samhain publishing, but I can't be certain.

OK, book friends, whatcha got?

SCB | 60 comments I'm wondering how you will know if the right book is suggested, if you haven't read it. The scene you describe and excerpt you read may not match up with the summaries presented by goodreads or amazon of suggested titles.

In any case, here are two that fit the basics of your described scenario.

The Good Girl by Mary Kubica

and

Still Missing by Chevy Stevens

I read samples of these via my local library (gotta love OverDrive / Libby!). These both look like interesting books but neither is the one I'm looking for. I do appreciate that suggestions.
