Answer yes or no and why

This got optioned for movie rights a while back, I wonder if it's still going to happen

No. I think it was good at first, but the story was becoming less and less interesting as it went along. If it gets a sequel, it's not going to be better, it's going to be even worse.

I think everything wrapped up nicely, but I wouldn't mind a short story.

I don't think it should. I think the ending does create a slight sense of enigma and I think it's best if it's kept that way.

No, the author wrote this as a standalone and I would find it forced to make a sequel.
But I wouldn't mind a prequel about Tsukiko and her competition.

I agree Loch. It’s perfectly done and it’s finished

A sequel is clearly not needed. There is an end to some things and we should keep it that way. The author wrote the story with a perfect ending. She didn't keep any plots open that needs an explanation.

There were plenty of loose ends to tie up, so a sequel would be possible. Eg we’re told this competition has been played at least 8 times, so it would be interesting to know about previous competitors.

Tsukiko says her competition was 83 years ago, and the book ends at least 100 years after it starts, so it’s possible that the next competition has already begun.

Hector and Alexander are quite nasty people, so it would be nice to read of their demise.

No. While I did love The Night Circus, it already ended (in a deux-ex-machina way at that) with a happily-ever-after. The story is finished. If it were to be extended, it might ruin the magic that the 1st book brought

And no more Marco, what a boring character.

If and ONLY the author puts an end to all the mystery and the unsolved questions. This book shall redeem its status in my eyes only if book 2 gives details into everything it has missed to explain.

To be honest the story hit an end, so I wouldn't see where it could go from where it stops. I think a sequel wouldn't help the story at all.

No, I don't think so. What else is there to say?

Yes and no, I would like to see another book either based on the circus or another challenge, but with new characters as the mains. Maybe a Prequel story about Celia's Dad and the man in the grey suit would be nice. But i wouldn't want another story based on Marco and Celia.

No. It should have a movie for us to recall the happenings of the book. Especially the highlighted ones

i think that there was so much that was resolved in this one that i don't know that it warrants another one.

No, don't think the story lends itself to do a sequel.
