Sorry I am REALLY late on March BOTM nominations as I would really like to get a selection made by mid-month each month so we all have time to pick up a copy if we want to read it. (work has been CRAZY this month)

This month lets get back to the roots of this particular group, modern classic authors and works. Lets pick a BIG title or name.

Nominations through the 26th (or until we have 10 good titles) and then poll ending the the 28th.

Here we go folks, lets have some fun.

K.C.

Going to throw out 2 this month:

I am going back to one of my nominations from last month.
Pet Sematary - King

Also feeling like a little Bentley Little lately (haven't read him in a few years)
The Mailman - Bentley Little (actually I could go for ANY Bentley Little title in case anyone else has the Little itch).

Sue (sussudio1970) (ilovemaine2020) I would like to suggest Turn of the Screw by Henry James. Or something by Bentley Little also. I've read The Mailman but I haven't read The Store.

I love The Store (and would read again) and have lent out my copy to several friends who also liked it. I always wondered why it wasn't made into a movie, definitely a great b-movie in that book waiting to get out.

Susan (superbookfreak) sounds like some good books. I've been wanting to read the Amityville horror, I honestly haven't read the book but seen the movie and it freaked me out.

José (lectorconstante19) Those are really good books!I'm up for a Bentley Little read.

I'll nominate The Troop,Stephen King said that it scared the hell out of him so it have to be good :)

Actually bought The Troop last month, yet to read of course, so wouldn't be sad if it was selected.

Good stuff so far, looks like a few people also wouldn't mind a good B. Little story. My favorites so far are The Store and the Association (I can relate) but I haven't read the Ignored (which I hear many think is his best book) and haven't read any of his stuff the past several years. I read most of my Little in the late 90's with one or two in the early 2000's

Still the MUST read for Little I think is The Store. (just my opinion of course)

Really looking forward to this month.

Sue (sussudio1970) (ilovemaine2020) I read the Association by Little...excellent book in my opinion. I own a lot of his books that I haven't read yet and from reading the comments, I'm looking forward to reading them. Especially The Store and The Ignored. Thanks K.C.

Any time Sue, love discussing good reads here.

Thanks Robert for the heads up on a couple good Little books I haven't read yet.

Sorry folks, I forgot to mention in this discussion that the poll was up on the home page.

Looks like The Troop is making a move and wants to run away with it, let’s see if another title can chase it down.

Looks like Pet Sematary is making a move but not sure it can pass The Troop. We'll see.

Looks like the March BOTM winner is...The Troop. Great job Jose on the nomination, I can't wait to read this, it has been on my nightstand for a month, sounds fun. While it's not a modern classic or a major author (what I was hoping for this month), it certainly is a big "newer" release, so it still falls into what this groups focus is.

Let's see if it has the mustard to get into the "New Classic of Horror" discussion for this group.

Thanks again all.
