YA/slightly older than-YA is where it's at for me, when I need a lift. I would recommend Anna and the French Kiss (audiobook > physical copy for this one) and Red, White, & Royal Blue, personally! Neither is one-sitting, but both are relatively quick and feel-good reads.
i don’t really read much gushy romance but if you’re willing to read a graphic novel, bloom by kevin panetta is adorable and romantic and easy to read! the art is also lovely<3
I will second Red, White, and Royal Blue! Loved it! Another quick rec I'll drop is My Life Next Door. It's YA. It reminds me of summer and high school. It's a comfort read for me and one I have reread a lot.
Also just about any book by Christina Lauren! I read almost all of them in one sitting and they're always such likable characters. The romance authors I will always pick up a book from. A personal favorite though is Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating! If the plot sounds at all like something you'd enjoy, then pick it up.
If you are into graphic novels, I would suggest Hearstopper. All of them are lovely + they can be read quickly since they are graphic novels.
Dear sweet pea :) it’s a middle grade novel, so adorable and heartwarming, definitely the perfect book to pick up if you’re in the middle of a stressing period.
