Hi everyone!
Has anyone began reading yet? I for one am excited to be reintroduced to this world after being away from it for so long. Gosh, I last read them in middle school I believe — and I’m now nearing the end of my masters & that’s after taking a gap year between undergrad & postgrad!
Excited to see how my thoughts and feelings have changed and what I remember. What are everyone else’s experiences/relationship with Starcrossed?

hi Gabby!
I just read my chapters for 11th-18th and I'm in love all over again, I personally read them either prior to the pandemic or at the beginning. and I have this nostalgic feeling!

Has anyone annotated this book yet? I'm finally annotating and I'm curious to see what people annotate in this book!!!
I've made either two or three highlights on my Kindle

but honestly, it's so hard to put it down, this book it's just too good!!

Hi Ryssa! Thank you so much for joining! Not too long ago then, but long enough, how are you faring on the details so far? Are you finding that you've remembered a lot from your first reading / are you noticing things now this time round that you didn't before?

I don't usually annotate unless it's for university or something, but I add funny lines and things that shocked me usually to a Goodreads status update - this time I'm going to be annoying all of you with all my thoughts and feelings hehe.

I think I'm noticing smaller details I haven't the first time around but my god Lucas and Helen meeting still puts me in my feels!

I'm excited to reread that. I think I remember how they met but I'm not sure. Sooo excited. I'm gonna start tonight!

that scene it's just too good to not put a tab on it! I still remember the first time I read it and though (view spoiler) ... well, we know how that ended lmao

Hi everyone. I'm not on week 3's chapters yet, but I'm currently reading the week 2 chapters. Chapters 1-4 went by so fast!
ikr?! I put a marker at chapter 5 to stop because as much as I'd like to binge read: I have other things in my life I need to also focus on. and when I hit the marker I was like "...but I just started"

same here lol
I'm already half way through the book, making the most out of my vacations! hahah even because when my classes start again for the next semester, in August, it will be harder for me to read anything 🥴
I stayed up late to continue reading Starcrossed (until 3:00 AM CST), and I'm currently on Chapter 13. The plot moves by quickly!

I want to read it calmly and be careful about every detail so I'm in the fourth chapter of the book.⭐️

I love how quickly the plot develops in this book! It keeps you hooked and wanting to read more.

This would be so cool I love it!!

I tried to stop at chapter 4, but I can't! The book is too addicting and I don't want to put it down.

To stay within the given dates I challenged myself to read the books in a different language than English or German this time. I started Starcrossed in French yesterday and boy oh boy does it take a while 😂 (I kind of read French and English side by side and switch every few chapters)
I’ve reread the trilogy so many times I basically know them by heart so it’s not too hard to read them in a language I’m still learning 😅
Has anyone read the books in a different language or maybe considered so? I’d totally recommend!!

When I was in high school my dad and I shared a pick-up truck. It was an early-eighties Mitsubishi standard model, or “stick shift”, that was dirt brown, covered in rust and mud from hard use on our family farm, and it rattled something awful as if it were constantly shaking from the blistering cold of Massachusetts winters, even in the middle of summer.
This truck was dead ugly. It was diesel-powered, so not only did it belch out blue-black smoke, it also smelled. Think of a shaking, smoking turd coughing its way apoplectically down the street and you’ve got the basic idea.
Did I enjoy driving this truck? No. No, I did not. It used to make my teeth clack together it was such a rough ride, and holding onto the vibrating stick shift made my right hand go numb at times. Also, it was cranky. If you didn’t slide the clutch out just right the little stinker would stall. Oh, and forget about hill starts. Pop the clutch, and the whole truck would buck like a mule.
For those of you who have never driven a standard transmission vehicle, just watch an old movie of someone trying to drive a Model T, grinding the gears, the whole chugga-chugga rig jumping and jerking like it’s alive and you’ll get the basic idea. Now imagine the driver is a sixteen-year-old girl who is trying very hard not to be made fun of, and you get where I’m going.
But I was grateful. That truck meant freedom, and I was touched that my dad let me drive it. In fact, I loved sharing that cranky, smelly, turd of a truck with my dad. I was almost sad when he got a brand new, jacked-up, pale sliver Toyota long-bed and told me that he would drive the old truck to work and I could drive the new one to school. Almost.

I've never read these books in a different language but I'd love to! I've read The Little Prince in Spanish and in French, but that's it.

I loved reading this memory of yours! It's so cool to see how an author's life has impacted their books, or has even made a special appearance in them!

Same here! LOL
I read it till dawn last night, and already started on Goddess this morning 😂😂 I really wanted to go with the shedule, but I'm an addict when it comes to Starcrossed

I totally get the feeling! Although I couldn't stop on the default chapter for exactly that reason: I kept getting flashbacks from certain moments and I just HAD to get there as soon as fast, so before I even noticed it, I was finishing Goddess already lol
These books are so good, and getting back to them now, felt so nostalgic. I can't wait to see what's about to come next in the continuation.
