Two profiles of the same author - can they be merged?

There are two profiles of the author Steven Hall:

Profile 1: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

Profile 2: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

I noticed it because the German edition of "Maxwell's Demons" didn't have an English version. Can the profiles be merged or do they have to remain that way?

Not all books on the first profile seem to belong to the second profile, so they shouldn't be merged. I moved the German edition to the right profile.
