I’ll use my folder as an example:
Look for the discussion topic: Choose For Me
Create your individual thread: Jess’ Choose For Me - July 2022
1. The Couple at No. 9 by Claire Douglas
2. The Last Flight by Julie Clark
3. The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware
4. The Lies We Bury by Stacy Green
5. Blindsighted by Karin Slaughter
Carol responds: The Last Flight
Ann responds: Blindsighted
Sherry responds: The Last Flight
…and so on…

You can read at any point during the month or if you wanted to give people time to respond, you can always post it for August.
It doesn't necessarily have to be any specific order or list, you just list so many books that you're interested in reading and others will comment what they think you should read next. The title with the most comments will be the next one you'll read

Ann, that's my problem. The library books I choose are driven by due dates or Group Read dates. The rest of my books, well I'd say I'm only motivated to read them based on my preference in the moment, but if I'm honest I have so many library books out that I'm struggling to make it through (especially the print ones) that I don't even know that I'd get to a "Choose for Me" owned book. I said at the beginning of the year that those would be the 1-10 Determination List books but I'm getting nowhere completing those.

that's my issue, too. sometimes I have to be in the mood for a certain book- and I have a stack of ones I have to read and review. i have a hard time with the books I have to read for the book group I facilitate at the bookstore- I hate the pressure of I HAVE to read it by a certain date- have that issue with library books too!

lol, ann. which did you end up choosing?

If I read it before December for my determination list it will still be a win!

lol, ann. i can related to the piles of other things to read.

Ann, this is why I'm dawdling. Maybe November? ;-)

I figured it was something different and my members of my local book club love it!

This fits right in with our Determination Lists for 2025 - so if you have some of those books please see Jess's suggestions below and let us help you Choose your next book!
From Jess:
Members decide out of that member’s list what they should read next for that month. Members would create their thread just like they do for “Monthly Reads”.
