To be a series on Goodreads, books need to have more than a common theme -- like characters in common, an overarching storyline, a shared universe, etc. What makes this a series?

"Splatter westerns" seems more of a common theme than a shared universe.

I agree. Unless they have more in common than that theme, the series page should be removed.
