The Rules of Magic by Alice Hoffman rounded up to 2 stars

Hoffman writes well, but I don't care for books about witches and magic; I read this for a reading challenge. If you like that sort of book, you'll probably like this better than I did.

This is about the Owens family, who have always been witches--they float and can't sink in water and other things--but a curse was put on them back in the 17th century. The book starts with three siblings as children whose mother acts like she's not a witch and has strict rules for her children. It follows them for some years and we see more about what this curse is and how it affects the family, which was also a premise I didn't care for. This is all I'll say, since of course there is a blurb.
