Chapters 1-6 The story was hard to get into very descriptive but nothing was happening so I often got bored. I don't like that everything we learn is vague and the characters don't ask questions. I like to know things, I want answers.
Chapter 17 - This whole business with the mirror sounds way more Beauty and the Beast than Red Riding Hood to me
I do not like this description of Eammon smelling like a library being repeated so much. Very cringe
Kinda disappointed with how average this was. I felt like the story was stringing me along because I liked bits and pieces of the plot/romance but it never got to a point where I felt more strongly.
Thank youuu! I thought I was the only one underwhelmed with the way ppl have been singing its praises. Sigh
The second daughter is for the Wolf.
As the only Second Daughter born in centuries, Red has one purpose-to be sacrificed to the Wolf in the Wood in the hope he'll return the world's captured gods.
Red is almost relieved to go. Plagued by a dangerous power she can't control, at least she knows that in the Wilderwood, she can't hurt those she loves. Again.
But the legends lie. The Wolf is a man, not a monster. Her magic is a calling, not a curse. And if she doesn't learn how to use it, the monsters the gods have become will swallow the Wilderwood-and her world-whole.
