The disappearance of Shannon Yates was related. Noah’s friends (Isaac, Chase & Justin) accidentally killed a woman named Adele who they gang raped and over drugged. They told Noah it was an accident. The night before Haley and Noah met at the nightclub, he and his friends went to Beats with Adam. Noah took Adam home because he drank too much. When the fire alarm went off in the club and emptied, they found Shannon wandering around in the parking lot looking for her car. They abducted her, gang raped, drugged and strangled her. Noah became suspicious so they planned to kill him to quiet him. It was always their plan to frame Haley for it having drugged her drink before she left the club. It appears that Isaac was the psychopath in the group.

Justin couldn’t take the stress of it all and called Chase who promptly decided to come over and try to kill him. He was with Morgan and Lance at the time and survived. Isaac and Chase burned down Eliza’s house to get at Haley and almost killed her. Morgan killed Chase and Lance overtook Isaac. Justin confessed to everything. Isaac lawyered up. (hide spoiler)]
