Hey Abigail it'll be great to have you back for another year! I actually closed the sign up form yesterday because the deadline had passed to sign up but I've opened it again for you, so if you want to fill in this form here: https://forms.gle/G7ynbUMsLsQ5y4UK8 and then I can put you in a group in advance for tomorrow when I announce the teams.

No worries about your reading quantity, I really don't want anyone to feel pressured to read loads for their team so I'm assembling the teams as evenly as possible so there are enough heavy and light readers in every team and no one needs to feel burdened. Just answer the question about how much you read each month in the sign up form as honestly as possible and that'll make it more accurate for team assignments.

Update on the team pages:
To everyone who has seen the Team A page and probably been left wondering where the rest of the team pages are, goodreads has decided to be difficult at the worst possible moment and won't let me post a new topic without throwing up irritating "try again later" errors. So I shall try again in the morning and hopefully it'll work then...

I also fixed the hyperlinks on every team page because I noticed they weren't working. And I'll be sending out messages about the team announcements to all people who need it so hopefully no one will miss it!

Hey Abigael, no worries, I get it! I'm not seeing your name on my system and there usually isn't a delay in it showing up. Did you see the "You have signed up for the August Middle Grade Reading Challenge!" message after you completed the form? That's the confirmation message to show your form has gone through. If you didn't see that there may have been an error with the form or the internet or something and you may need to fill it in again which is annoying so sorry!

Yeah I thankfully found 2 books that fit prompts and are availble to me, I mostly use the library. Good luck and happy reading!

Aah guys sorry! I hope it isn't so hard it's not fun anymore, I definitely wouldn't want that.
I honestly thought they were too easy this year compared to last year! Hence some of the hard ones about the covers, I added them at the end when I thought there weren't enough hard ones.

When I made the tasks I didn't look at last year's at all because I wanted a fresh set of ideas but comparing this year's and last year's they seem to be the same amount of difficulty. They even cover the same genres and lol there are a few tasks that are the same. I guess we just have to expand our reading horizons! Having team discussions about books that could fit tasks could be a good way to do it.

@Kadi maybe my middle grade list of books that I have access to isn't matching up this year lol. but hey I only read 1 or 2 books a month and this month is crazy in real life, in a good happy way though.

I have so many ideas for books for each task but I only have time to read like 5 or 6 books so I relate to that. I keep forgetting to consider what books people have access to because I read books digitally so I can get my hands on most books. But hopefully you can find something from your list to match the tasks. And hey if you read those 1 or 2 books that's mission accomplished! You got this!😊
