I just read a book called Flipped that I really enjoyed. It was so sweet and fun to read! And also hilarious at times too.One thing I really liked about it was the characters. They were unique, quirky, and made the story feel real.
Has anyone read this book before?
I just read the series River of Time by Lisa T. Bergren. You have probably seen me post this a couple times if you are in some of my other groups but this series is definitely amazing!!
I love the Blood of Kings too! They're one of my favorite fantasy series ever! :D Have you read any of her other books?
No, I'm getting read to, though. I have the first book of one of her other series, I think the book is called The New Recruit. I could be wrong though. ;) I plan on starting it as soon as I finish Mardan's Mark.
I've read Replication by her, which I really liked, but her other series didn't seem as interesting to me. Are they good?
Has anyone read The Fault in Our Stars? I'm thinking of reading it, but i don't know if it'll be too depressing or not.
I haven't, but I've read a scene, probably the worst scene in the book. I don't know where you draw the line, but it does have sex in it.
I wouldn't recommend reading it. I only read it because , y mom wanted me to write a compare and contrast to the Bible report on it.
I just wondered because I've heard a lot about it, and I know a lot of people who liked it. I guess there's better things to read. :)
Yeah, it's well written, I'll give it that, but if you're reading it for pleasure it's not worth the time.
Yes it's by Frank Peretti, and it is very good. If you don't like spiritual allegories you won't like it, and it is more of a young adult story, but I really like it. :)
Spiritual allegories are great! I haven't read much of them, but the ones I have were really good. I've been meaning to read some Frank Peretti sometime. Is the Oath a good one to start with do you think?
Hmmm, It's a little more grwphic then his other ones. I would suggest starting with This Present Darkness, and Piercing the Darkness before reading The Oath or any of his other books. They're a good introduction to his style of writing, plus they're really good.
I just read You'll Be Like Faye by J.C. Buchanan! It was amazing! Here is my review-*This review is spoiler free!*
I absolutely loved this book! I read it in less than 24 hours! I couldn't put it down! Once I got the last 5 chapters I couldn't read fast enough! The characters were so well developed and I fell in love with all of them! The plot was incredible! You can definitely tell the author put lots of thought into it. And everything ties together perfectly in the end.
My favorite characters were Britney and Stella! The end of the was especially exciting! I cried at the end it was so sweet! I really hope a sequel is written! I would say that ages 10 and up would like this book! There is nothing inappropriate but it's a more mature plot.
I would say a few things were predictable but there were plenty of surprises so I was definitely fine with that!
If you like books with some mystery, then this book is definitely for you! Sadly, I can't rate this book more than 5 stars...because if I could then I definitely would! So... 5 STARS!!!!
I'm reading the Selection series right now. Very good plot and superb writing !! But I don't like the swearing and almost s*x in it... I like romance, just not when I goes to far
I've read House and it's a collab with Ted Dekker and Frank Peretti. It was the first and only book I've read from either of them and it was fantastic!! Ya'll should read it! It wasn't really that creepy.
I just finished reading The Silent Governess by Julie Klassen
and it was amazing! Beautiful (and clean) romance and mystery and faith! I really enjoyed it! My first by this author. :)
I just read the Healer's Apprentice by Melanie Dickerson and it was AMAZING!!!! Here's my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... Read it! The book, not so much the review, though that'll probably make you want to read it more! :)
Well.... I know this book is old news but I'm so excited.... I JUST FINISHED THE LIGHTNING THIEF!!!!! And I started Percy Jackson so old. I'm 13! Most kids read it at like, 5th grade. LOL. Anyway, I love this world!
