Aly ∞ | 24 comments I know that two of them are siblings (fraternal twins) who have/had a famous father that was/is a renowned jewelry thief? And they were probably following in his footsteps. In there group there's like 3 or 4 more teens.

From what I can remember, the front cover's base is black and there was a single diamond in the middle (it was slightly big but it didn't take a huge amount of space). The diamond was also blue instead of white? And I think one of the fraternal twins' name is Jewel (the girl) or something that started with a J AND/OR is some type of jewelry. I could be way off, but I think there's a meek girl in there group that's like nerdy or something or maybe quick with her hands. Idk fs.

We need a time-frame for this - when approximately did you read it? And was it a new book at the time you read it? :)

Around 2017 - 2019, maybe? I could be wrong, but I think it was one of those YRCA nominees. And maybe it was new because the book looked newly brought and crisp. Usually the books in that library are old if they look like they've been read so many times but I'm not sure.

David Añez | 418 comments Not sure if it was Capn was asking about, but is the book written recently (say, they mention smartphones and the Internet) or either written or set in a time where they were uncommon/no existent?

Ah nice catch. Yes, it mentions smartphones and basically modern technology.

Capn | 3506 comments Was it a realistic-looking diamond (cut with facets, etc.), or just a diamond shape (tilted square/rhombus) on the cover?

I'm on my phone (app), so can't link to it, but there's a Listopia list for gems / jewels / precious stones on the cover (and also a separate one for jewel heists, or at least just gemstone content, I seem to recall). You could have a quick scroll through to see if it's there? :)

Nope, just a 2d diamond with a decent amount of facets (not too much to the point where it looks rlly detailed). And sure thing! I could scroll through the list.

Edit: I found it lmao. Thank you
