I remember it was either a young adult or a book for older children.
The main character was a boy
The book was funny
He did something mischievous and, as a punishment, had to help an elderly neighbor (I believe it was a lady)
The kid goes to the neighbor’s house and sees the lady on top of a hot pot- her arm begins to melt - the kid freaks out
It was a prosthetic arm
The kid ends up loving helping the neighbor
At some point, he runs away from the mother, the mother runs after him and, ends up being super fast

** I hope someone can help me find this book! My kids are now older and I would love for them to read it or to listen to the audio book with me on our summer drives-

The book was hilarious! The neighbor, I believe it was a lady, had fake arms that melted as she was staring a pot of hot water- this scared the boy to death, As he didn’t know she had a fake arm.
Another section describes how unbelievably fast the kid’s mother ran to catch him-

I wish I remembered the name of the book to recommend it to my kids!
