I had to walk away and cry while listening to the phone conversations/texts between Allie and J-Man. It really did give the reader a small look into the mind and life of an addict.

I've started paying attention to bookcovers since I've been doing the Cold Case Scavenger Hunt. I'm trying to figure out what the cover has to do with the story. I'm not even sure what the picture represents. Is it the view from the cabin of a boat? How does that tie into the story?

I am wondering the same thing, Robin. Is it the Navy tie in???

Maybe that is what is supposed to represent. I was trying to remember if there were any scenes on the water or in a boat and couldn't think of any.

I thought this was the picture of Tracy taking the ferry to the island that housed NCIS. It looks like rain drops on the window. I thought that was the time she left her car and ran to the ferry when the thunder storm started (I used it for that cold case) and Owen picked her up at the other end.
Sharon, I’m not surprised you had to walk away. That had to be rough.
These stories have so many layers…with the characters, the relevancy of the stories, the procedurals and the complexity of the mysteries. I’m so hooked and the audio version is outstanding.
