Morgan and Lance keep putting themselves in danger by going off investigating without backup and not telling people what they're doing. It's a bit annoying... but I guess it led to the showdown with King and a bit of an exciting finish. Why after they had subdued King and then he got free why didn't he have another attempt at killing them? Once he decided to go to his cabin, killing himself to escape being charged and jail was the obvious ending to this story.
