That is going to fall into the arena of combo tags and because it contradicts itself I'm going to say no.

MountainKat | 31670 comments ‼️‼️ PLEASE READ!! ‼️‼️

As a reminder - the Awards Lists I linked to are only to help with searching! They do not qualify your books. The qualification for the current date is ONLY Literary Awards listed in the book details on the main book page!

From the qualifications for B is for Best:

To qualify, the GR main book page will include a listing of the award or nomination under 'Literary Awards' in the book info. The following list(s) will make searching easier, but the qualification will still be from the GR main book page.

message 67: by MountainKat, Moderator (new)

MountainKat | 31670 comments And another reminder! Date 1 does NOT end tomorrow evening!! This is the Romantic Getaway 2 week date. 😊

Kirsten | 238 comments Is there a limit to the number of Scavenger Hunt roses an individual or team can claim? Before I "hunt" down another, I want to make sure it will count. TIA.

MountainKat | 31670 comments Kirsten wrote: "Is there a limit to the number of Scavenger Hunt roses an individual or team can claim? Before I "hunt" down another, I want to make sure it will count. TIA."

For this date it is 10 because it is the Romantic Getaway 2 week date. Normally it is 7.

MountainKat | 31670 comments Date 2 - A - Tasks: Breakdown of the qualifications for possible tasks for Date 2.

Please remember that all tags/lists must qualify IN CONTEXT!! Links MUST be provided.

Don't make more work for yourself than necessary - if the qualifier is in the title or on the cover, use it! You don't have to go searching for tags to make it work. 😊 If the link you use for the book is the same you are using for the page count and edition - say so (see above edition or something similar)! That saves us all some steps. But please double check your links!

You may use separate editions of your Scavenger Hunt books to qualify for the different tasks. Links MUST be provided.

A is for Abrazo - Read a book showing a couple in an embrace on the cover

To qualify for this task, the book's cover needs to show people embracing. I do not need to see full bodies, but the cover must enough enough to see that there are at least two people hugging on the cover.

A is for Alligator - Read a book set in one of the following southern US states - NC, SC, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas or Mississippi.

To qualify, your book needs to be set in one of the following states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina or Texas. Qualification can be from the book details on the main book page (state or city within qualifying state), precis, title, or lists. Lists need to be specific to the qualifying states or will be examined similar to combo tags.

A is for ??? - ???

To be revealed when the date begins.

A is for Anticipate - Read a book that has been released in 2022.

To qualify, the selected book needs to be initially published in 2022. Make sure you use the initial publication date! If there is a date at the top of the editions page - USE IT! Otherwise, I will be looking for the earliest dated English language edition regardless of format for the qualification.

message 76: by Grace (new)

Grace | 1732 comments For clarification of Abrazo:

1. Would this qualifiy for hugging if they're not facing each other, like this:
Crave (The Gibson Boys, #3) by Adriana Locke

and

2. Do both people have to have their arms around each other or would one qualify, for example:

The Wrong Kind of Love (The Boys of Jackson Harbor, #1) by Lexi Ryan

Thanks in advance.

I would accept both of those covers.

Enough that it is listed as a setting in the book details, on a list or with a tag.

The first one works- you can see that both of her arms are around him.

The second one, while it feels like they have to be embracing, you can't be sure that they aren't just leaning in for a kiss. So I am thinking no to that one - sorry.

I can answer this one...as long as it's listed in the Main Page Settings, it will apply, even if it's a combo.

Allie | 79 comments Qualification question: if something is tagged bayou or has bayou in the title does that work for the alligator task? because it's in reference to the Louisiana bayou but doesn't specifically say "Louisiana" in the tags, title, or precis (even though that the setting of the book).
