From what I remember, the cover is orange with a brown lab on the cover. The book begins with a girl and her dad in a cabin in the Yukon Territory. The girl then finds a dog on her cabin porch. There is also a bear attack in the cabin? Please help me find this book

I read this book about 10 years ago. The girl in the book is young, I think like 15 years old? The book is meant for teenagers/young adults. Thank you for any help
