YA Sci-Fi about ensemble cast of teens with abilities

Trying to remember this book I read in junior high is driving me crazy. I read this book sometime between 2012 and 2016, and it seemed fairly contemporary. What I remember most about this book (series?) was a secondary character with the most interesting powers I've read - he is impossible to pay attention to. I think he may have lived in a hotel penthouse because the staff couldn't notice he was there? Also there's a scene set at a rave or nightclub where a different one of the teens uses their abilities to escape danger. Another member of the group may have the ability to connect to/see connections between other people. The setting was the regular, modern world. Thank you!
