SOLVED. Help with finding a fantasy book. [s]

I heard of this school when i was a kid, so some of the details of the plot i tell you might be a bit fuzzy since i dont remember it too well. The book, if im right was a children's book like a novel, which was a fantasy,
A few lines or things i remember from it:
-The ending: the story ended because the main character, woke up suddenly
from the so called "dream" which was the whole story.
-The side character is some kind of an animal or a bear with a clock on it's body
-The main characters at one point of the story pick sand with tweezers
--Sorry there's so little to work on, i remember very little, but it would very nice if somoene happened to know this book's name.
