The truth haunts the government and puts her life in grave danger as one simple fact would destroy the perfect system.

With Joshua's help, Olivia breaks free of prison and is forced on the run. Together they set out to find the promised rebel town in search of a new home and new life together. Their situation seems less than promising as they reach the town of Haven. New rules and customs must be adhered to in order to stay. Leaving would mean most certain death in the large expanse of the Gravelands. Time is running out as the government mounts an attack to destroy Olivia and bury her secret with her. Thrown into a world unlike their own, they must quickly adapt to survive.

Chapter 12 - I'm not buying the love story. At first he was like "that would be so weird to be matched with you" and now he's like "I knew from the age of 3 you were the most beautiful girl in the world" COMEON

The love story was weird, it was like (view spoiler)[ she liked him, but he didn't seem all that interested. then he seemed happy that they had been paired, then he acted like not being married to her was a great thing. then she catches him with another girl, and then all of a sudden he's loved her forever! make your mind up! I got so bored reading this, I kept having to switch to something different.

She really is, and I found it a bit confusing as well.

Finished... it actually got good at the end. (view spoiler)[ I like the idea of "The Shadows" and that the truth is out there and Olivia and Josh can be who they are and help take down Genesis. Oh and now they have super powers! So it's gonna turn into an all out battle. It's kind of got a Shatter Me vibe. (hide spoiler)]
Anyways, I gave it 3 stars because it was more bad then good but I'm interested in what happens next so I still might read on.

I gave it 2 stars; I hated this book and am so glad it's over. Will not be reading the next two.
