Intisaar Hamze | 38 comments Hi, can anyone tell me the name of the book where the Heroine has a secret identity where she's a princess? The story kind of begins where the heroine wanted to take a break from being a princess and wanted to be a commoner for a while. She had asked her cousin to pretend to be her while they're traveling. The hero went looking for the princess. I'm not sure whether he came to propose marriage two her or not but he had heard stories about her and wanted to meet her. He had met the heroine's cousin and assumed she was the princess. At first the hero and heroine didn't get along. But while they traveled somewhere, they had called in love. It was later revealed that she was the princess, not her cousin. I remember some of the plot but not the name. If anyone knows it then please let me know. I would appreciate it.

Charlotte Mccash | 90 comments It doesn’t fit all the criteria, but what about “Book of a Thousand Days” by Shannon Hale? The main character is the servant/handmaiden of a princess, and they get locked up in a tower together, but when the princess’s betrothed comes to talk to her the princess orders her servant to talk to him instead and they end up falling in love. They do go on a journey at some point, but the main character is not the princess’s cousin.

We always need to know when you read the book.

Also, have you checked your Goodreads shelves for it?

Here's the Google Books preview of Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale - Charlotte's suggestion:

https://books.google.com/books?id=a7_... There are different cover images.

Intisaar, what's the genre (which we need to add to the header/ topic title) - e.g., historical or contemporary romance? for adults or teens?

Around what year did you read this book?
