SOLVED. Queer, YA Short story compilation with a story about a fairy godfather that uses the color blue to help their charge accept themselves/understand others

Read this compilation about 10-12 years ago. The one story that stood out was a kid who was getting bullied and trying to figure out their sexuality. there was a fairy godfather who appears and enchants the kid to be able to see everyone around him in different shades of blue. the more blue you are the more queer you are, both the kid and the bully are super blue.
moral of the story is everyone is different but you can't always see when people are dealing with their own issues, spectrum stuff. That's all i remember lol
