I finished both of the above books. I've now moved on to reading
A Diary of the Plague Year: An Illustrated Chronicle of 2020 AND
The Best American Short Stories of the Century (for my Big Book Summer Reading Challenge. My listening book will be
Kill Switch: The Rise of the Modern Senate and the Crippling of American Democracy. The latter two books are ones that have been on my "reading" column and had to be returned to the library before I was finished. I'm hoping to make a major dent in that column this year.

I really liked it, Britany. There were a couple others in my book discussion who, although they liked it, said it wasn't her best book. I gave it 4 stars.

reading 📖 The Song Poet, by St. Paul's Hmong-American (award winning) writer Kao Kalia Yang. Heartfelt memoir (I guess) of her father, Bee Yang, told through members of her refugee family.

hard to be some of her earlier ones. She's become an autobuy author for me.
Finished and adored The House in the Cerulean Sea

In Pieces by Sally Field. Very interesting. We women are all so connected! The more I read women’s stories, the more I realize this. It’s a small comfort.
Time slips away and I have finished the following books:
We the Animals,
The Best American Short Stories of the Century and
Vera Kelly: Lost and Found and finished listening to
Kill Switch: The Rise of the Modern Senate and the Crippling of American Democracy and
River of the Gods: Genius, Courage and Betrayal in the Search for the Source of the Nile.
Now reading (for the second time)
The Essex Serpent and listening to
Rough Draft: A Memoir
