LeahS | 1360 comments Another question, Jackie. I've found a lot of essay/short story/poetry books are under 200 pages (unless you're reading something like Paradise Lost ), and I wondered if it would be possible to read two books of e.g. poetry with a total of 200pp plus?

Irene (irene5) | 904 comments ^I would like to ask the same question for graphic novels since I have a few volumes that are all less than 200 pages. For example, could we fulfill a single prompt with, Book Title Vol. 1 and 2 (150+150 pages = 300 pgs)?

Jackie may have more to say on this subject when she gets back into town, but I'm leaning no, since we have a policy of one prompt per book and one book per prompt.

I'm going with no. One book per prompt, one prompt per book. It just gets too messy otherwise.

LeahS | 1360 comments Ok, thanks for looking into it. And of course, having posted my query, I immediately found a book of short stories with over 200 pages :)

Mo McCallie (minimod) | 4 comments Probably a silly question, but does a Dystopian Romance count as more than one genre?

Yes, I’d say it counts!

Reed (reedster6) | 79 comments I would like to do this how does this work?

Irene (irene5) | 904 comments Hi mods, I just had one more quick question:

Can graphic novels/poetry be used for the 500+ page prompt? (Would they have to be over 1000 pages?)

Thank you!

Irene, if you read a graphic novel, an essay collection, a poetry collection, as long as it is over 200 pages it counts. If it is over 500 pages, you can count it for the over 500 page prompt.

Reed, welcome! Read books and match them to the prompts. Once you have a total of at least 5000 points, post your challenge in the completion thread to get entered to the raffle. I tried to spell it all out in the first post of this thread, but if you have a specific question, let me know!

PS: if you find a 1000 page graphic novel, I want to know about it out of sheer curiosity, but not required :)

My library has some huge compilations of graphic novels. A whole series bound into one big book.

Irene (irene5) | 904 comments Thanks Jackie! :D
I haven't read these yet but I know Bone: The Complete Cartoon Epic in One Volume is about 1300 pages and at least the first 2 Neil Gaiman Sandman omnibus volumes are over 1000 pages as well (The Sandman Omnibus, Vol. 1). I just read a 900 page graphic novel in a few days so I figured 1000 pages wouldn't be too bad at all!

As we work our way through the summer challenge, the mods ask that you post your completion thread as soon as you complete the point challenge so that we can verify it. Please post links to the editions you read, and post your entire completed challenge in one box. Thanks for your help in making this a smooth process!

Thaimy | 33 comments Hello everyone, I have a question. I'm listening to this audiobook right now and I wanted to know if it qualifies for the challenge in general.

That's a tricky one but on Amazon it says that is just over 11 hours long. I'm willing to count that.

I was going to use it but was unsure so I'm glad I asked. Now I feel more confident about it and will use it. Thank you Jackie ^^
