Marc (monkeelino) | 13 comments In 2021, really my main goal was simply to read more women authors (bonus points if I buy books new from either small presses or independent bookstores run by women). I read ~47 books by women last year, which was more than half of my reading (a first for me, I think).

I don't have any 2022 specific goals beyond continuing to read lots of great fiction by women, but thought it would be fun to share those books here. I hope to list them by publication date as they're read along w/ my "star" rating.

1973: The Black Prince (Murdoch) ****
1987: The Door (Szabó) *****
2002: In the Time of the Blue Ball (Draeger) **** (actually, I don't think this counts as I believe Draeger is a pen name for a male author, but need to double check that)
2006: Native Guard (Trethewey) ***
2010: Parenthesis (Durand) *****
2010: The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms (Jemisin) ***
2012: Our Lady of the Nile (Mukasonga) ****
