If you decide to add the 2nd book for the three continents, I will commit to adding "The River," (North America) as the 3rd.

Finished it this morning and yes, I filled Europe with it!
Alyana wrote: "I finished 3 books today and started another short one that can fit another continent, Asia."Hi, Alyana. Have you added those 3 finished books to the tracking page?
I was planning to use "The River" for the third continent, but I'm finding it difficult to add it for that prompt. I will add that to a different prompt, after all.
I think it would be a wonderful idea for you to use the continent of Asia when you finish the short book you mentioned.
I will add them later as I just got home from work. I should finish the Asia book if not tonight, tomorrow for sure.

I just posted my books on the tracking ss.
I'm going to start Perestroika in Paris in the next day or two. Singles:
new author
takes place in France
Magic (maybe)
Doubles:
large city
map
nonhuman characters
Triples:
continent (Europe)
white cover
TBR within the last year
I'm also hoping to get one of the team books read before the readathon ends. I haven't decided which one. Leaning toward Bone Deep.
Triples:
Is the pages read count on the spreadsheet only for the books we are reading for this challenge or any books we read?
Shari wrote: "Is the pages read count on the spreadsheet only for the books we are reading for this challenge or any books we read?"I think the books we read for the challenge, starting June 3. Even if we can't use them for a prompt, we will still earn points for the pages.
Hi team, on the prompt completion part of the tracking page, I renamed the last 3 columns "Doubles 2, Triples 2, and Triples 3."If the same person finishes both doubles or 2 or 3 of the triples, you can use these columns so it shows the count/completion correctly. Just put your name in parentheses so we know who completed it.
Hi everyone! Another team asked a question about the "pages read." Here is the question and answer, copied from that thread. If a team member reads a book that doesn't fit any prompt, can we still use it for page number points?
If a team finishes all of the prompts for the readathon then yes you can use any book to stack up page number points. Last year’s readathon had bonus prompts for teams who completed all of their prompts and this year I’ve decided to forgo extra prompts so that everyone can read whatever will help them in other challenges for the year! Basically, I’d like teams to focus on the prompts before moving into solely page number points.

Thank you for your help!
I finished my Asia book that will complete our continents prompt. Updated it on the sheet..How is everyone? Shari, Sunflower and Julia haven't updated their pages yet.
Sunflower wrote: "I've just finished Our Violent Ends, I'm not sure what category I'll put it in though"Hi, Sunflower. I didn't see "Our Violent Ends" on the planning page, so I just added it. It looks like if it is used for variety of sexualities, that triple prompt will complete. (150 points) 2 team mates have read 2 other books for the prompt.
Would you like to count it that way?
Also, do you have a page count that can be added on the tracking page? (1 point per page)
I finished "The River," early this morning. It has been added as our 2nd finished book under "Triples, added to TBR within the last year." One more, team, and the prompt will be complete.
It looks like we are still missing page numbers and/or audio points Please remember those and if help is needed to add them, post the numbers and we'll get them added. Thank You.
Welcome to the second half of the readathon!
Hi team! I hope everyone has a chance to update today since they are doing halfway point stats.I finished 2 book this morning. I put The Pilgrim of Hate in for the last added to TBR in the last year so that one is done!
I added The Unpassing for a new to me author. This is the only single prompt it would fit, but it would also work for one of these triples:
Climates (Tundra)
Time I want to learn more about: 1980's
Edit: Finished! A Stranger in the House and used it for "Strange" in the title.
AND I'll finish The Paris Apartment which I will probably use for Set in France
Hi Team Cleopatra! Just wanted to check in and let you know the Readathon Team Progress thread has been posted and is ready for team leaders to update their team’s reading so far! Be sure to comment your team’s progress before the readathon ends so that your team can earn bragging rights and post-readathon awards!!
almost done with The Vanishing Half and Dear Fahrenheit 451: Love and Heartbreak in the Stacks. (I don't have the page # right now (at work - sorry): I'll post the info in the a.m.? or if I have the energy when I get home...... or I'll conserve my energy to read like crazy and post in the morning?)I'm making progress with The Laughter of Dead Kings (fast read, thankfully!)
I'll also update the pages read - don't have my list with me right now. Sorry! It's been a day!
Quick question, does Kill Joy can be used for the prompt, Read 2 books with antonyms in the title (Ex. War and Peace, A Great and Terrible Beauty)?
Alyana, I think that would be fine. I finished Paris Apartment and updated it on the spreadsheet.
I don't have time to check if this has been answered right now so I'm just going to throw this question out here. I'll look it up later if no one knows. I saw that the pages only count for books we finish during the readathon. I am not sure if I will finish the audio and the ebook I just started. I'm going to try! But should I update my daily pages with those anyway?

Thank you SarahKat.. It's a short book so I should be done with that if not later tonight, tomorrow for sure.
I have 110 pages left of Book Lovers which I'm going to count toward the triple read 3 books with 3 different colors on the cover or in the title.I'm having a harder time deciding where Fae's Defiance would fit best for us points wise. It will fit for the follow:
Single-A book that involves magic
Double-Two books with a map featured in the front or back
Triple-3 books that have less than 1000 ratings on Goodreads
Any thoughts?

If you use Fae's Defiance for 'map in front or back,' I can use the book I'm reading now (Perestroika in Paris) for that prompt also, to complete it.
Theresa wrote: "Anissa wrote: "I have 110 pages left in Book Lovers which I'm going to count toward the triple read 3 books with 3 different colors on the cover or in the title.I'm having a harde..."
That's perfect Theresa! That was the direction I was leaning toward but I wasn't sure if you were intending to use Perestroika in Paris for a different prompt.
Theresa wrote: "Sunflower wrote: "I've just finished Our Violent Ends, I'm not sure what category I'll put it in though"Hi, Sunflower. I didn't see "Our Violent Ends" on the planning page, so I j..."
That's good! Sorry for not putting it on the planning page, I wasn't sure if I would actually read it during the readathon duration or read it earlier. For page points, the book is 494 pages long
So, I'm finished with The Vanishing Half, but I do not know which is the most useful of the not-yet-finished categories to put it in. When I finish The Laughter of Dead Kings, I will have read 1 each of morally gray character & character with strong morals: should I save it for that?alternatively: VH is definitely set near a river (also part of it takes place in SanFrank, so also ocean/bay).
Edit of the above: I saw that someone had read a book with a character with "strong morals," so I've put VH as "morally gray" (it has numerous examples of both). If there's a category it'd fit better, feel free to move it. I mean, it could even fit "different continents" as part of it takes place in Europe, while most is in North America. For that matter, climate is northern US, southern US (Louisiana), & various parts of California.
I finished "Perestroika In Paris" and added to the tracking page as one of the doubles for 'features a map.' Anissa is adding the other 'map' book, to the best of my knowledge.I am starting "Bone Deep." I am going to try real hard to get it read before the readathon ends. I intend to use it for bonus points as one of the Team Books. Bonus points of 150, plus 252 points for pages read, if I finish in time.
I thought I would be able to finish more books this readathon from last year.. Prompts are a little challenging, which is good..
I didn't finish as many as I was hoping to either. I think I finished 6. But only said I'd read 4. So I did fine but I don't have any more I'll be able to finish today.
Alyana wrote: "Is there like a penalty if a team does not finish all the prompts?"I don't believe so.
I moved a couple of books around (from incomplete double and/or triple prompts) to singles prompts to gain some points.I hope you all enjoyed the readathon. Have a great week!
finished 3 books this weekend during road trip. hope it's okay that I filled them in. I read The Laughter of Dead Kings, and listened to Be Buried in the Rain and Teach Me. Yay for road trips and audiobooks!
