And regarding book numbers, there was an initial snafoo where one of the books was skipped entire, and was fixed recently when we squeezed the prequel in, so that's probably where the off numbering comes from.

Predictions (view spoiler) ["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

She's a Green! She had two Warders, I think. I am so excited! I really hope she shows up. I've been waiting ever since we read New Spring. I was so sad when she wasn't in book 6.

Prologue--lots to chew on, as usual! Though I'm getting a very Polka vibe here--what is it, two steps forward and one step back? Most of these scenes are more "meanwhile, in other parts of the world during the last book's climax, just in case you wanted to know..." (view spoiler)

Elaida first. She is not Black Ajah, but she is one power hungry and prideful woman... Kind of a shame that she is such a bitch, because she is smart and strong, and if she just wasn't such a megalomaniac, she could have been an asset for the Light in the upcoming war...
The foretelling has to be about Egwene...
Nirkatze, I think you are absolutely right about Savannah and whichever of the Forsaken is giving her favor... I wish The Wiseones had killed her and had done with her!!!
Messana is showing her cards a bit... And yep, we suspected that about the old Amerlin, so it is nice to have it confirmed... Alviaren needs to die painfully!
The Forsaken are proving the theory from the Andrea Vernon books - you can count on the supervillains to always turn on each other:))) No trust whatsoever, and all of them jostling for the top spot...
You are not wrong about Niall. He was the most sane of all the White Cloaks. I am terrified about the new leadership and what that would mean for Morgues and her friends... He was at least somewhat patient and at times reasonable...
Gawine, you young and mislead man... I feel bad for him, but I am still disappointed in him and his Younglings, for going with Elaida instead of with Siuan Sanche...

I feel terrible for the 151 Maidens of the Spear that died for him...
I also don't understand how Rand can't seem to accept that the real Aes Sedai can't use their power as a weapon against others! This is what the Forsaken mean by "they chain themselves as criminals" - the three oaths do not allow it... The old Aes Sedai didn't use the Oath Rod to bind themselves in this way, and now the Black Ajah are free of those oaths...
And Taim gave himself the title of The Leader... That is one horrible man!

Things seem to be getting chaotic and out of control in Rand's camp. It is making me very nervous...
I also wonder if the dude he chose, from the Asha'man, is going to turn on him, or if he will turn out to be a good choice for him...

Elaida first. She is not Black Ajah, but she is one power hungry and prideful woman... Kind of a shame that she is such a bitch, because she is smart and strong, an..."
Whoo sorry I've been AWOL the past few days--but I'm back and reading again!
I agree on pretty much everything you said. It is a shame that Elaida is simply so self-centered and...typically Aes Sedai, believing that only she knows the right path. Otherwise she's a strong and intelligent woman with many talents... I wonder how she will be brought down? Looking forward to it.
Nice note on bringing in Andrea Vernon! So applicable!
With Gawyn--there's so many situations in these books where people get into fixes just because they aren't talking or listening to one another! Argh! I'm glad at least that he at least is listening to Egwene enough to walk a fine line--but how can he consonance what Elaida is doing? With any of it? Seriously!!
re: Chapter 2--Aram the Tinker gives me the same vibes as Masema the Prophet--someone who has taken their zeal with the cause so far that they will end up hurting it. Bad things coming for sure.
Really nice note about the "chained like criminals"--I didn't even think of that! But just because they can't use their power as a weapon (except against Darkspawn or in the defense of their own lives or lives of their warders), doesn't mean they can't bend the rules, like they do everything else. They can use it to beat someone to "educate" them, like Galina & co were doing with Rand... what they can do is bad enough. Though they won't be much use against Dreadlords when they can't strike first. And can you imagine what would happen if the Seanchan attacked a group of Aes Sedai? With the Seanchan aiming to capture rather than kill, the Aes Sedai would be hobbled.
Taim--(view spoiler)
re: Chapter 4--I'm enjoying the book too so far, but it's going slower than the other books, and I'm enjoying Perrin's chapters less than the others. Same thing--his whole relationship with Faile does not seem healthy. And apparently people think of him as the perfect husband???? No, thank you! I wouldn't want to date any of the people in the book so far... At least as far as "over the top" goes--both Perrin and Faile are guilty of that. They deserve each other.
re: Asha'man dude--Dashiva, I think? (view spoiler)

Mogehedian--this bit kind of confused me. We already had this happen at the end of the previous book. Why are we back in time again? I'm getting confused on the back-and-forth in the timeline. I keep thinking of Polka--two steps forward one step back. And how much of this is Jordan "filling in" more information from what happened in book 6's epilogue, and how much is the time delay from news getting from place to place? (view spoiler)
re: Aiel--so true about rumors in today's climate... >.<
re: Nicola--I do remember her trying something similar with Nynaeve and Elayne, but I don't remember how it turned out... and (view spoiler)

Loving all the politicking with Egwene.

Glad the kid is winning races. Mat just got a ring which might be emblematic for his future:)

Ugh so true--(view spoiler)
re: Chapter 13--still so true! I don't think our girls are going to get a good bargain out of the Sea Folk--but it's cool to see their culture! Seems they're even bigger on bargaining than... crap, wasn't there a culture that held bargaining sacred? Or am I mixing my books now...
re: Chapter 14 (view spoiler)

Chapter 18 YES!! (view spoiler)

Rand and Min finally got their groove on:)))

Rand and Min finally got their groove on:)))"
Bow chika wow wow! I feel kinda bad for Elayne though--she's been pining the longest and hasn't seen Rand in ages...

Chapter 32 (view spoiler)
Chapter 33--I'm so glad Rand has Min around!
Chapter 34 (view spoiler)
Chapter 35 (view spoiler)
And finished. Don't remember which chapters specifically... (view spoiler)
I finish one, and I want to pick up the next! Got three books to read before doing so though. Even though this definitely feels like very little movement and lots of loose ends, I'm still enjoying the story.

Speaking of Brigitta, her getting drunk and Elaine getting intoxicated from the bond was hilarious!
I have a theory, that the person who saved Rand (view spoiler)
I also had a very hard time not picking up the next book straight away! That was a cliffhanger if I have ever seen one... Let me know when you want to start the next one...

Oh, I forgot about Mat & Tylin! I'm pretty much in line with your thoughts--I felt really creeped out at first, but then with him saying "I'll miss you too" and meaning it at the end, and with everyone around him thinking he's getting a taste of his own medicine, I feel better... it really was just that she wasn't acting like he expected women to, not that he was actually uninterested or unwilling... and I love his relationship with Birgitte! (view spoiler)
I like your theory! We've not seen Logain since the end of the last book!
So right now... (view spoiler)
I've been having a very slow reading summer so far... >.< haven't had the energy to post as often as I used to. Have big backlog of thoughts! Next book is scheduled for 6/22 and I'm going to try to be in a reasonable range there... reading (physical books) Malazan, Wrath, and Cloud Cuckoo Land before that, so I'll probably be a bit late.

I've had opposite problem--my work is on hiatus right now until fall, so I'm suddenly finding myself insanely busy trying to cram all the house projects (and months of laundry piles) into these three months and not reading or on the computer as much as the rest of the year. Jacked up my audiobook numbers though.
