Orlando is one of those that I felt like I should read, but would never have actually gotten around to reading it, so I am happy to be doing it in this group. I was not a huge fan of To The Lighthouse but so far I am liking this book more.

I am struggling to find an audiobook of this novel that is not a bbc production. I'll keep looking, and can hopefully catch up when I've downloaded the book. If not then I'll have to sit this one out unfortunately.

I am actually keeping to my reading schedule for this book and have just finished chapter 4. So far, I am not really sure to make of the book. It is funny at times, but I am missing a lot of the humour because I don't know that much about Alexander Pope (and Addison and Swift)

How is everyone else finding it?

I am a bit behind on the schedule and just finished Chapter 2. So far, I find the book quite amusing and not how I expected it to be. The writing style is quite different from The Lighthouse or Mrs. Dalloway. It's a lot more accessible. I wonder if it will stay this way.

I finished this last week; I really found that the book lost me in last 30 pages, where the setting changes to the present.

I just got around to reading this and I see there was not a lot of discussion on it when the group read it. I found it interesting as far as the personal link of Vita Sackville-West but huge parts of this lost me on long fantastical meanderings. In the beginning I thought it was going to be all about inequalities of men and women and I believe that is a main item but also sexuality in general and identity of self-seem to be more prevalent throughout. I'm not sure about the biography aspect to it either maybe I am not hip enough to get the similarity of fiction and facts.
