Read for the Challenge
Fishface wrote: "I am so all over this!"<Hey I just finished Menagerie by E. Stuart Marlowe. Weren’t you the one looking for animal horror? It was a pretty good read with made up monsters.
I'll be working throughout the entirety of this challenge so my goal is at ankle height (2 books) But I still want to participate lol. 2 books are better than 0.1. Our Wives Under the Sea 2/5 stars
2. A House at the Bottom of a Lake
Possible picks that were already on my TBR:
Flowers for the Sea
Dead Sea
I'm in too, just can't decide how much... I guess I'll start with 3 and maybe raise later!
These are books I'll try for the challenge:
Deeper
Cruel Summer
Salvage
They Came From The Ocean
The Chill
Deeper
Cruel Summer
Salvage
They Came From The Ocean
The Chill
I have a recommendation: Furious: Sailing Into Terror by Jeffrey James Higgins. It’s intense and nautical.I’m new to Goodreads so let me know if I do anything wrong.
I’m going to do this challenge. How long do we have to complete it?

I’m game but could use some suggestions. Also what is the challenge exactly like how many books etc? But I am pumped!
NinaKirikiHoffman has a mershort at mermaids monthly from last year, and Michael Buckley wrote a teen dark fantasy trilogy Undertow...
I’m in for three! Picks may change at any time.1. ✅ The Shadow over Innsmouth by H.P. Lovecraft
2. ✅ The Water That Falls on You from Nowhere by John Chu This turned out to not be horror!
3. ✅ Motherfucking Sharks by Brian Allen Carr
4. ✅ The Thing From the Lake by Eleanor M. Ingram
WendyB, good choice with The Chill by Scott Carson. Great book and appropriate for the category.Everyone doing this challenge should strongly consider The Deep by Michaelbrent Collings. He's prolific and if you enjoy that one then you'll be thrilled to read his other work.
Can't really go wrong with SGJ but, just so you know, Zombie Sharks with Metal Teeth is a short story collection that doesn't involve much aquatic content.
Aversion Self-Therapy here, it's worked magnificently for Spiders and Fire5/14: Strangeville School Is Definitely Not Cursed. Floods and Kraken, wooo

You choose any number of books you would like to read and the titles. Go to the challenge page: https://www.goodreads.com/challenges/... and enter the number of books and the shelf name you want to use. Be sure to put the books you read on that shelf for them to be counted. Also, I have a link there to some Aquatic Horror books for ideas. Then have fun reading!

Hey Sassy! You can read any auqatic horror you want. I think many people didn't know what to read and asked for help so there's lots of recs. My list is growing by the minute.
Love this, and it will be my first challenge. All suggestions welcome!
I’m thinking The Deep by Nick Cutter, and Cold Moon Over Babylon to start for sure.
I'm in. I"ve read many of the suggested books already, so I'll going a little conservative here until I figure out what to choose. Aiming for a total of 3 titles. Maybe I'll change it later. Can't wait to see what everyone else has read!8/30 update: I had way too many books on my to-be-read shelf, and several with deadlines (review copies). That made this harder than I thought it would be. I'll still try to keep my plan of 3 books, but will probably need another month to complete. I'll list them here as I go. Just finished my first today - - at least I have one by the deadline.
1. SLICE OF PARADISE: A BEACH HORROR ANTHOLOGY edited by Ben Long and Andrew Robert (August 30)
2. FROM BELOW by Darcy Coates (Nov 15)
I’m not really a water person, but as long as it is only in a book I’m in. No idea what books I will read for this yet, but 3 should be manageable.
wow! you all have come up with some great titles.
Should make for a wonderful summer of reading.
