Hi, everyone! My name is Margaret C. I am new to writing stories. I am looking for encouragement as I begin this new journey into being an author. I hope that my writing would bring glory and honor to God. I love to read. My favorite reading genres are mystery, historical fiction, and occasionally romance. I do enjoy watching TV and working on my writing skills. I am hoping to release my novella, The Great Unknown: A 9/11 story or a short story of the All-American Girls Baseball team in the Fall of 2022.

Exciting, Maggie! I will be praying for you and your journey. It is a long haul, but so worth it. Your topic will be of great interest to so many. Do you plan to Indie publish?

Being an avid reader will make a big difference so keep on with that. If you'd like to do a review for my historical fiction, let me know. It's traditionally published and I'm trying to get the Amazon visibility increased with more reviews.

Hi Joan, Thank you so such. Yes, I do intend on publishing my novella indie. I plan on using Amazon Direct. I would definitely love to review your work since I am in love with historical fiction. Hi Margaret, and welcome! I applaud your ambition to use your writing to bring glory and honor to God. It wasn't too long ago that I was beginning my author journey. I just self-published my first book, a YA Christian Fiction novel, but the road wasn't without bumps and bruises. As I'm sure you know, starting out is never easy, no matter what it is.

However, I've found that using your writing for something greater than book sales brings incredible purpose to what you do. I know that your writing will make a Kingdom impact, and I pray that your purpose helps you prevail past any pain points you may have.

Margaret, there's a delightful book called Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott which I wish you could take a look at. It's one of the most practical and uplifting books I've ever come across written to encourage writers. It helped me in immeasurable ways. I wish the same for you.

James's comment is beautiful. Lamott keeps the idea of a greater purpose in front of us, too.

Hello Margaret, Joan, James, and Frances... I've written some novels - most of which I never got published - but they were all written before I became a Christian in 2013. So, I'm considering whether or not to write again, this time from a Christian perspective. In the meantime, I'm reading and reviewing a lot of Christian fiction.

Congratulations on your conversion! I find that stories like yours hold tremendous power, especially for people who are on the other side and haven't received Christ. I feel that your story could be very interesting and have a large impact if you decide you'd like to put it into writing.
