I do like these murder mysteries and the dual storylines did work here. However sometimes Lance and Morgan do go off on their own and take too many risks. They are not the police and whether or not they think the police fail in their duty it is not their job. Makes a good story but probably not very realistic.

I liked the mystery, but it still wasn't a five star read for me. The romance fell pretty flat as far as I was concerned. I'm ready to go on Bones Don't Lie.
