Rhys and Helen’s revised engagement quickly advances in the early phase of the story. We’re you wondering what might be the conflict to arise later in the story before it was revealed?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments I thought it would be their class differences.

Phrynne | 14 comments This made the book very unusual. The speed with which they reconciled amazed me but then the author brought in some very original obstacles!

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments I did wonder. I expected Devon or Wells to do something to separate them again. I liked the way the story unfolded, especially the conflict.

I looked at where I was in the story and saw there was still more than 50% remaining and just knew something big was yet to come.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I was trying to figure out what was going to happen very early in the book. When Rhys had the building fall on him, I thought he would be badly injured (again) and he wouldn't make it to talk to Devon about the upcoming wedding. Helen would think he had tricked her and they would once again be apart. When that didn't happen, I had no idea what conflict would come up.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments Robin that would have been a good conflict.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I also thought the building collapsing would put Rhys out of commission and Helen would think he changed his mind. I kept waiting for what would happen to cause a problem.

Susan (cruelshoes) | 158 comments I also thought that the building that fell on Rhys would perhaps give him amnesia and would have to learn all about Helen again. Glad I was wrong

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments Amnesia would have made for an interesting plot line.
