I can't believe it! That's it! Wow, that was so much faster than my long searches. Thank you!
This one I bought from Walmart somewhere between 2011-2014.
The soft book cover was a velvety smooth material, with roses all over it. There may have been something or someone in the roses but I honestly just remember seeing red roses. However, this might be the cover for the other book I'm trying to find (I'll send another request to find that one as well), my memory is hazy.
The plot (spoilers ahead):
A girl in high school has a reoccurring nightmare of a mysterious boy walking or dancing with the dead (skeletons?) outside her window. The nightmare always ends in fire and flames.
When this girl goes to school, the mysterious new boy looks familiar (from the nightmare) but she gets warm (like fire) and nervous to be around him. She notices him looking at her, even at the school dance, but she feels like she shouldn't be around him, even though she is drawn to him.
I can remember they do end up getting close and becoming romantic. He has a dark secret, which I think he is ashamed of, that he eventually shows her. He is a demon (or half-demon?), and he takes her to the underworld to introduce her to his mother (who I think is the queen demon). They have a dinner party that goes poorly, the mother demon traps them together in a room and gasses them? (This part is foggy but I think they may have been succubi and she tricked her son and this girl into a gassed room to sleep together? But take that part with a grain of salt). It's possible he was ashamed because he was sent to the surface/human realm to find a host/baby mama/someone to fulfill a prophecy?
I've looked everywhere it seems, and the only book that I've found that is similar plot-wise was Sweet Evil, which is not the right book. That's all I can remember for now.
