Bonnie The Sentence Contemporary, Pandemic related, A book I spent half my reading time cursing at - re-reading paragraphs and even pages struggling to figure out what the author was saying- and ended up changed from the reading and clicking it into my favorite books shelf. A main character who seems half crazy much of the time, but then you fall in love with. 5 stars

Black Cake historical fiction. Interesting setting and characters 3 stars

B is for Burglar crime/mystery, this was Ok but I kind of realized it wasn't a series I want to read straight through- not now anyway. I will get to C eventually. 3 stars

Nine Lives good Mystery/Suspense I read with the group read here and commented on. 4 Stars

French Braid women's fiction. Found the characters less likeable than most of Tyler's and it's character driven. 2 stars.

Between Two Kingdoms: A Memoir of a Life Interrupted
my book of the month and I'm not a memoir fan usually. A young woman's cancer journey. 5 Stars

Ann (annrumsey) | 16998 comments Bonnie, you really intrigue me with your description of The Sentence. I'll have to check it out. It has been on my to read list since i read her book, The Night Watchman.
I've gravitated towards memoir more lately. There are some really good ones. Between Two Kingdoms: A Memoir of a Life Interrupted looks like one of them. Great month!

bookclubs keep me varied (in person/library one and online long term) really. I tend to stick to a genre or two for months/a season anyway for my personal choice books.
